Bugsy has gone home to a fenced yard with a nice retired lady. We wish them both well and are very excited at the thought that she will be someone’s true companion for the rest of her life.

Ziggy finds a home

Hi to all the good folks at ARMV!

I thought you might like an update about how “Ziggy” is doing. Oh, this latest: Ziggy is now Marlowe. We LOVE our little guy. He is a total clown! And he acts like a lovestruck teenager with our other cat, Cleo. Follows her around and dotes on every little thing she does. He loves it. He’s discovered the birds outside and loves to sit in the windows and watch. He shows NO interest in going outside, which is lovely. He’s ALL over the house all day, but he still likes small spaces (like the basket in the living room that USED to hold the TV remotes… you should see him lower himself into it, like a chick climbing into spanx.)I think he’s a happy boy. He sure makes us laugh. Thank you again for bringing us together.

Okie finds love

Okie was adopted by a little girl who was supposed to be picking out a kitten. (Okie is a 12lb giant sized cat) Once she saw him, she would not leave without him. They have had him for a few days now and they love him and he loves their 2yr old daughter. He sleeps in her bed at bed time and nap time. They say Okie and her daughter are the best of friends. He did hide the first night but is doing great now. I guess little kids can pick out great cats! I bet it won’t be long before he she is dressing him in doll clothes and pushing him a stroller.

Moose and Tucker are doing really well. Here are some pictures of them in their new home. Our dog, Beethoven has been great but it is like having two new babies with another child. I have to continuously giving extra TLC to Beethoven and telling him how great and wonderful he is …..oh yeah, and the kids too They wake me up from time to time when they are playing at night time but I am having fun! Andrea and Danny are in love with them : )

Happy tails: Sammy gets a new couch

I just wanted to give you an update on Sammy, the beautiful litle boy that I adopted yesterday. He had a wonderful adjustment to his new home and new friends. Our older cat has been letting him rub against her and was even playing with him and sharing her toys this morning. He has not quite won ove our younger cat yet, but she is a vey shy girls who was also a ferral that we took in and is very jealous of daddy with anyone else. Luckily, Sammy is quite a mama”s boy, he follows me everywhere and slept next to me on my pillow last night. He is quite a character and I am so happy that we found each other. I am in love already and it seems mutual. Here are a few pictures of his first night in his new home.

happy tails: Zoe goes home

I picked up Dixie (Zoe) today.. To say that she is the most perfect kitty is an understatement… She spent about a half hour running up & down the stairs, and I swear to God, she was smiling!! I showed her the litter box which is upstairs, and about 2 hrs later went up there & did both.(if you know what I mean..wink, wink..) She ate both her wet, and dry food.. We played, she sat on her scratching post which is in the front window & watched the cars go by.. She comes when called, even if she’s upstairs.. Now she is sleeping.. Not only is she adorable, but she is exactly what my expectations were, & more.. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to adopt.. As I said yesterday, she wasn’t adopted to become a pet, she has become a member of my family.. I promise to cherish, protect, and spoil her forever.. Thank you!! Debbie

Ziggy goes home

Ziggy was surrendered from a roomhouse in Lawrence and has become very shy and despondent at his foster home. He is very loving and sweet and will be the center of attention at his new home.

Ziggy is doing great! In less than an hour, he was walking around the bathroom, purring and being petted and eating. He was doing so well we gave him free run of the bedroom that same night (Sat), and he started playing with toys. . . . . Ziggy also came out from under the bed to greet friends and family who dropped by yesterday. He seems to know he’s the center of attention, and he’s loving it!

Jeffrey finds a new lap

Dear ARMV:
I adopted him last night and he was underneath the bed for two hours and then he came out. he is very lovey and slept in my arms all night, he adjusted so fast. He purred the entire night and has been very vocal when he wants his attention. We have not left each other’s side.This picture I sent you was from last night, it didn’t take long for him to realize that he could jump up into bed and cuddle into a warm lap. We love him thank you – katie

Hello Marcia,
I just wanted to reach out and update you with how Dj is doing. He’s been a real joy to add to our family. Everyone has fallen in love with him. He has such a sweet personality that I sometimes wonder if he thinks he’s a dog instead of cat, lol…He runs around like crazy and stops, pants for a bit then he’s off and running again. My cat Micah was a little put off at first but by day 4 she has taken him under her wing. She makes sure he is cleaned and takes time for naps. They’re really cute together. I could not have found a better fit for the family. I’ve attached a few pictures for you to see. He’s getting really big, fast, smiles…

Thank you so much for all you and Barbara did to make it possible. I hope you’ve had other families who have adopted the many cats you have waiting for homes. I know if there comes a time for another addition to the family, I’ll be checking with you all, first…
