I just wanted to reach out and update you with how Dj is doing. He’s been a real joy to add to our family. Everyone has fallen in love with him. He has such a sweet personality that I sometimes wonder if he thinks he’s a dog instead of cat, lol…He runs around like crazy and stops, pants for a bit then he’s off and running again. My cat Micah was a little put off at first but by day 4 she has taken him under her wing. She makes sure he is cleaned and takes time for naps. They’re really cute together. I could not have found a better fit for the family. I’ve attached a few pictures for you to see. He’s getting really big, fast, smiles…

Thank you so much for all you and Barbara did to make it possible. I hope you’ve had other families who have adopted the many cats you have waiting for homes. I know if there comes a time for another addition to the family, I’ll be checking with you all, first…

Hi!! Bo is adjusting wonderfully to his new household :) He is not the lest bit intimidated by either the dogs or the kids & has been extemely playful since his arrival. He successfully discovered his litterbox on his own & decided to share the dogs water bowl as well :) The only thing he has seemed to have trouble adjusting to is our ceiling fans, lol, which catch his attention every once in a while & drive him absolutely batty!! He seems completely content here & even claimed a spot for himself at the foot of the big bed :) Thank you so much for all your help!! We love him very much!! ~~Shannon

These are three of kittens rescued this morning, there is still a fourth out there we have not caught yet. The orange kitten in the litter box was named Stucky because he didn’t want to leave the trap and was ’stuck’ but he is much happier now all cleaned up and well fed with his siblings. ARMV will continue to trap and get the fourth kitten. But when they approach this age it is harder and harder to socialize them quickly. In another two weeks it will be too late and that kitten will have to be returned to the wild with its mother.

Buddy was thrown out of a window in Lawrence. Basically uninjured he was rescued by some neighbors and turned over to ARMV. He’s been given medical care and some love and affection.

He’s an active and bouncy little boy who likes to play with anything he can find.

Jacob was found abandoned and left to starve. ARMV took him to the vet got him neutered, tested, vaccinated, etc. – fed him and got him back on his feet. He was a sweetheart beyond belief and this lady opened up her heart and home to him. He faced sleeping in the dirt with fleas and no food or water to sleeping in a warm bed with lots of love.

Dear ARMV
We decided to rename midnight Jacob. He is doing very well and my other cat couldn’t be happier with him also. Jacob even sleeps in bed with us and the dogs at night. He follows me around the house like my little shadow :) ! I couldn’t be happier that we adopted him thank you very much.

This is Nubbins. She was discovered in New Hampshire with her foot in a trap similar to the one shown. She had been there for a week, but she refused to give up. Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley took her in and got her the operation she needed. Now she is a happy healthy tripod. With a good long life ahead of her. This form of trap is illegal in Massachusetts, but still causing mayhem in New Hampshire.

As luck would have it, Stanley finally went to his forever home today from our adoption event at Petco in Plaistow NH. He will be certainly missed by ARMV.
