First Year Successes 400 Adoptions
ARMV is one year old! It has been an amazing first year!
· We handled 400 adoptions (all neutered) · We Trapped, Neutered and Released 200 feral cats! · We helped over 100 low-income pet-owners to their spay/neuter their animals! · We responded to over 20 emergency calls with seriously injured or sick cats & dogs. · We networked and helped to place three hard to adopt dogs, including one that was blind! · We rescued cats and kittens from 4 separate hoarding situations involving over 100 cats and kittens in terrible conditions. · We even rescued six cats out of trees!
VOLUNTEERS WANTED We need you!! We now have over three dozen volunteers staffing the phone line, rescuing sick and injured cats and dogs, trapping feral cats and kittens, as foster parents, bottle baby feeders and planning fundraisers too! The more help we have, the more we can do for the animals in our area.

Your Donations At Work
ARMV strivies to ensure that a low income pet owner’s dogs and cats receive veterinarian care when their pets are sick or injured. Please help make sure no animal goes without care due to lack of funds by making your donation today.
We are especially proud that our brave and dedicated volunteers helped with four separate hoarding situations this past year involving over 100 cats. Their hard work helped get the cats healthy, neutered and adopted.
Using clinics sponsored by Merrimack River Feline Rescue and Salem Animal Rescue League, our volunteers spayed and neutered over 200 feral cats this past year in Plaistow, Haverhill, Lawrence and North Andover.
Today it costs a pet-owner over $300 for a neuter and shots, our next goal is to set up a weekly low cost/no cost spay/neuter clinic. The only way to end pet overpopulation and the un-necessary euthanasia of pets in Massachusetts is with massive spay/neuter efforts.
Big thanks to everyone who donated, volunteered or just supported us with good wishes. And to the wonderful veterinarians in our community that support our cause with low cost care, THANK YOU!

FOOD DONATIONS: Help Us Help Them
Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley feeds over 120 feral cats! All cats have been neutered and vaccinated. We need bags of dry food and cans of wet food to keep our furry friends healthy. To keep their diets consistent we prefer Purina or 9-lives brands.
We also need kitten food and old fashioned clay litter for our kittens in foster homes.
Food donation barrels are located at the front of the store in Shaws and Market Basket in Plaistow, in Market Basket in Haverhill at West Gate and Riverside, in North Andover on Rt. 114, and in Methuen near The Loop. (Thank you Shaws and Market Basket for your support!)
Also thanks to volunteers for getting the new food donation bins and feeding stations built and placed.
Thank you especially to Al and Mark Torrisi of Jackson Lumber for donating supplies and the Essex country correctional system for building them!
ARMV is all volunteer and foster home based. Every penny donated directly supports medical care, feeding and spay/neuter programs..
Help With Veterinary Costs: Your dollars will help with the veterinary costs of the sick and injured cats and dogs that otherwise might die because the owner cannot afford this care.
Help Stray Cats And Kittens: Please donate now and help get stray cats and kittens off the streets! Your donation will help support spay/neuter programs for stray and feral cats and the dogs and cats of those who cannot afford it.
